Hello Linux Users of Birmingham :-)

Wanted to let you all know about an awesome hackathon that is going to
take place in
Atlanta Feb 17-20th, hosted by Startup Riot.

Dubbed MAKE, Startup Riot's hackathon is a 48 hour experience where
teams of developers and designers build something new and awesome. At
the end of it all, one team will be declared the winner and present
their goods at SHOW on Feb 22nd in front of 500+ investors, VCs, and
other entrepreneurs.

Another lucky winner or team will take home a Makerbot Thing-O-Matic
from our sponsor, MailChimp.

MAKE is a bit different in that you can register as a team OR as an
individual and find your team at the beginning of the event. All details
for the hackathon, including registration links, are here

Admission to MAKE also gets you into SHOW-
so if you stick around, you can see the hottest up-and-coming startups,
network, and engage in the southeast's startup community.

I'd love to bring in some of the Birmingham Linus group members for this
event. Could be a lot of fun. We are also running a partnership
with Airbnb for $50 off a stay in Atlanta from Feb 1-29 when you use the
code STARTUPRIOTATLANTA. There are also SUPER cheap MegaBus tickets from
Birmingham to Atlanta, making this whole thing super easy. No excuses!

Please don't hesitate to contact me!

Look forward to hearing from you and meeting some of you at the event,

Rachel
