Capitalizing on Disruptive Healthcare Technology

Significant changes are occurring throughout the healthcare industry. As healthcare and life science organizations develop their strategies, they need to determine how to adapt to these changes to be successful in an environment that is moving from fee-for-service payments to pay-for-performance models.

Some organizations have opted to hold back and learn from others before making a risky investment; and some simply modify existing systems.

Others have engaged in disruptive innovation — a term coined by Clayton Christensen, the Kim B. Clark Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School and thought leader in the area of innovation.

WHY THIS EVENT:

Disruptive innovation transforms an existing market or creates a new market by making processes simpler and improving access.

Further, pharma companies want to identify new opportunities for diversification purposes, as well as for strategic synergy purposes. Industry experts, private equity and venture capital investors predict a 10-year transformational cycle that will re-define the American healthcare system.

Audience Profile:

The program will unite a cross-section of healthcare/medical IT business providers, hospital administrators, insurers, health plans, risk managers, physicians, government and public policy experts.

C-level executives of start-ups, IT and marketing professionals, pharma marketing professionals (with an interest in online and mobile consumer engagement), bio-pharmaceutical clinical technology, and operations executives.

Industry experts, private equity and venture capital investors predict a 10-year transformational cycle that will re-define the American healthcare system.

Sponsored by IBM and IBF Conferences, The Digital Healthcare Innovation Meetup is on Thursday, September 19 at the IBM Innovation Center, at 404 Wyman St, Waltham MA.

Hi Brielan, to cover the cost of food and additional amenities for such a large audience the cutoff was at 50 people. I apologize if this caught you by surprise as I had been emailing people about the cutoff. Not only do we have 72 people coming from our group, we have other people coming who are not part of of the Boston Healthcare Technology Professionals meetup.

I believe we have 138 people who are registered. Our sponsors are offering a number of discounts to offset the fee of $20. Again, I'm sorry about having to cover our costs this way. Jon

In this regulatory stringent, financially tight environment how can we find an efficient, or any way to get disruptive technology to those who need and/or want it? What innovative alternatives might be available? How can we identify key communities?
