Discuss Twitter's use of Apache Mesos and Apache Aurora in Production

Surprise!  Dave Lester, Twitter's open source advocate, is in town and will be presenting to our group next Tuesday, October 8th.

In his talk, Dave will present the basic architecture of Apache Mesos, how Twitter runs Mesos and Apache Aurora in production and why, and the ways Mesos has been adopted by the open source community to run both analytics infrastructure and web applications.

Apache Mesos (http://mesos.apache.org) is a cluster manager that provides efficient resource isolation and dynamic sharing across distributed applications, or frameworks. It can run Hadoop, Spark, Jenkins, MPI, Hypertable, and other frameworks on a dynamically shared pool of nodes.

Dave Lester is an Open Source Advocate at Twitter, based out of San Francisco. He is also a committer to Apache Mesos and Apache Aurora.

If you forgot to pick up a Mesos sticker, here's a form to ask for one: https://docs.google.co...

Excellent and worth the drive from DC to the event. I am hoping that all the presenter's slides will be available for anyone who did not make it.

It was great and useful! Curious if anyone else is using this in a production environment. Playing with it - however concern is don't have a technical enough team to handle this. Is that a valid concern?

I am in DC so can't make it to this location. Any chance the meeting will be recorded or slides will be posted?

    Thanks!
