Lexington, Bedford, Carlisle, Concord, Lincoln 34 miler

The weather looks great sunday morning for a ride (heat wave is going to break)

Route Summary:

Starting in Lexington we head out to Carlisle via Bedford and go thru Great Brook State Park. We circle back thru Lincoln and to return to Lexington

Riders should plan to meet at 830 am and be ready to ride around 8:45 am

We should return to the Depot  area around 11:45 am if we can keep the 12 to 15 pace. Please be able to b/c the group needs to return on time to the parking area.


Starting point
Depot Square, Lexington MA (fyi, there is a ton of parking behind the Depot)

Stopping point

Concord Center / Main Street Cafe (Keyes Parking area)

What's required
------------------------------------
Bike helmets and road bikes / skinny tire hybrids in good repair
minimum 2-3 full water bottles (cold!).
bring snacks


What's recommended:
------------------------------------
Spare tire, repair kit, sun screen, snacks, energy bars, rain gear, an extra layer, a bike lock, and a cell phone.

    If folks are up for it, From Curve St we can do a nice 4 mile scenic extension that takes you onto the Bruce Freeman rail trail and you get to see Hart pond.

    I haven't checked it recently, but you're sure that section of Rt2 between Walden St and Sandy Pond Rd has space for biking? There's an insane amount of construction going on in that area...
