Lexington Loop 25 Mile Ride

Sunday should be a beautiful day so let's take advantage...

We did this ride last year and had a great time.
This ride is about 25 miles and runs through the nice towns of Lexington, Concord and Lincoln.  The Globe rates it as a top 10 Mass scenic ride

Will try to keep roughly a 12 to 15 mile pace and be back in Lexington before 12:30.  Will stop on occasion to make sure we try to travel as a group and stop along the way at the Old North Bridge in Concord

Lexington Center has a public parking lot with free parking on Sunday.

Things to bring:  Helmet, Water, Sun Tan lotion, Money for lunch after the ride.

This is not a ride for the super competitive as we do stop for everyone.  We expect people to be able to ride 25 miles and be in reasonably good shape and to have good enough judgment to know if this is an appropriate ride for you. If you can not ride at a 12 to 15 mile pace we will ask you to turn around shortly after the ride starts.

No requirement for a road bike but probably not appropriate for a mountain bike.

Will send out my contact info on Friday night.

Also as a requirement for this ride I ask that you have a face picture so we can recognize you.

A bit slower pace than I'm used to, but with so many fun people to chat with that was a good thing!

Unfortunately I will not be able to get there at the start time but really wanted to do this loop - its really a nice ride. I looked at the route which goes Rt 225 and left onto Monument St. I may bike to that point and look for your group of 25 cyclists and try to join from there. My guess is it's 35-40 minutes from the Lexington staring point.

Sorry I can't join this weekend (8/25). It's a nice ride. I do it all the time. No trails, and the hills are mild.

New to this route. Is this riding on the streets or rail trails? Are there steep hills or is this pretty much flat? Is this for beginners or intermediate riders?

Those are pretty awesome weather forecasting skills you've got there if you can already tell that Sep 8th will be good ;)
    Did you mean this Sunday?
