AMC 32nd Annual Spring Bike Rally

Hello Cyclists, I just wanted to let you know you can still do the ride tomorrow for $5. However, we're sorry, but the Barbecue & rally are full and registration for the full day is closed. You can still come for the rides by paying $5 when your register just show up. If you are interested in staying for the barbecue you may be able to substitute for any registered participants who are unable to attend.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, or perhaps its good news for some of you who weren't doing it because of the costs... Happy Peddaling!

Cyndi

Hey Everyone I have signed up for the AMC Bike Rally along with a few friends and I thought their might be some others in this group interested in doing it too! So I decided to post it here: I'll bring a balloon with me so you can find me before and after ride. I believe I am doing the 27 mile ride, may add a few on to that! 50 is a little to far for me right now! That way even if we don't ride together perhaps we can do some socializing together afterwards as a group. Should be a blast.

    Hello everyone who attended the AMC Ralley. Dave found some missing items left behind.. If anyone is missing:

    1) a pair of Schimano bike shoes - tan uppers, good condition, appear to be woman's (small);
    2) bike sunglasses with tan colored pads at the ear end;
    3) a tan soft fabric zipper container (for folding sunglasses?).

    Please let us know! You can reach me at [masked] Thanks, Cyndi

    Despite, the fact it was Pouring rain, and I got lost by about 20 miles, I had a great time!!! It's always good to hang with both old and new friends.

    Yes, there were approximately 120 people total who rode in the rain and most attended the talk and dinner. If you want to get involved with the AMC Biking Committee, copy and paste this link and click on Bicycling in the right hand column (http://amcboston.org/main2/abou...;)

    Note that there are evening rides on Tues and Thurs and a Friday morning ride out of Weston for those who have the summer off.

    Also, far more than 20 people attended. There were 39 on just the 50 mile ride. And many others for other rides.

    It was a blast. Really great group of people and well organized. Also, before we had done 30 miles it was raining hard and it kept raining until about 45 miles. Then we rode in again in nearly clear weather, gives an awesome sense of adventure and challenge.

    Despite the rain, it was a very fun time.

    Great time, great people. Just the weather was a bummer.

    Hey everyone - the cost to do ONLY the rides is $5, NOT $30.

    Thirty dollars gets you dinner and food - but it is too late to sign up for dinner at this point anyway.
