Halloween Bike Ride!

Join us for a scary ride around Boston on Halloween night!

+ Jaw dropping costumes!
+ Ear popping trailer tunes!
+ Traffic stopping magnitude!

OFFICIAL START: Gather at the Green Street T stop (Orange Line) in Jamaica Plain 7:30 PM. At 8 PM we roll! Here is the route: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1872408

ALTERNATE START: (new!) Boston Bike Party is organizing a PARTY COLLISION that starts in Dewey Sq and collides with the Halloween Bike Ride in The Fenway. There will be fake blood involved. So if you don't want to take the hike down to JP, then meet in Dewey Square (Red line -> South Station) at 7:30 PM and depart with the party collision at 8:00 PM!

After the brief start and epic convergence, both groups will ride like one massive bicycle monster as we slither our way through Kenmore, Copley, Symphony, Central, Harvard, Allston, and Coolidge!

This was a blast! SO much more fun than just going out and drink. Definitely looking forward to this again!

I'll be riding from Davis Square again (around 7:00) if anybody wants to ride down as a group. I doubt that I'll have any semblance of a costume though since I didn't manage to figure out anything this weekend
    :(

The Facebook event has 471 people attending. wowza. It's going to be an epic ride for sure. If you see a car driver who is visibly upset, don't antagonize. Instead, kindly let them know that we will be through in just a minute or two. Keep smiling, spread the joy, and be the lead by example.

Does anyone have an extra bike I can rent/borrow for this ride? I'm just visiting for a few days and this sounds like too much fun to pass up. =) I know the city still has the Hubway rentals out but I would hate to be out a bike if they're all rented that day for this ride. Anyone else renting a bike for this?

    • Jon R.

PLUS, you can reserve a bike in advance which is better than Hubway.

I worked with MassBike & Boston Bikes to get a "Bicycle Valet Service" at the after party. Basically they will hand you a number, and watch over your bike (like a coat check) so you don't have to worry about bringing along your U-lock. Costumes shouldn't be bogged down by clunky U-locks! All of this is 100% free because I asked so nicely!

Just in case it wasn't entirely clear in the event description, here is additional clarification: There are two starting points, one in Dewey Square, and the other in JP at the Green Street T-Stop. Each group will leave at 8:00pm, and converge 3.3 miles into the ride at Evens Way Park (near the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum). Once unified as a big group, we will continue on for about 10 more miles hitting up several neighborhoods in Boston. We will end at Canary Square in JP, which is about a 3 minute bike ride to the Stony Brook Stop on the Orange Line. I expect that we will get to Canary Sure around 10:30 - 11:00pm... but it's difficult to say exactly with large group rides [masked] riders) and the vast number of variables.

I'll be at Dewey too. I mapped the route from Dewey to Fenway where we converge... I will say that I like the Dewey route better. I suppose I might be biased tho ;)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
