The weather looks ok (cool/cloudy/some sun) for a north shore Bike Tour style ride on Sunday with several great coastal sections.

Route Summary:
NOTE: The length of this ride puts this in the intermediate category. If you have not ridden 40 miles before pls think about that before signing up ;). The pace is 12 - 15 mph avg, but with many scenic stops.

Starting @ Manchester By The Sea MBTA station (PARK IN REAR PARKING AREA - otherwise risk being towed in plaza)

We will head out to Cape Ann and pass thru Gloucester and Rockport. There are several scenic stopping points so having walkable bike shoes is a good idea. Also, bring layers, and gloves (coastal wind can be cold on hands)

Here is the track from this weekends ride. For some reason, it didn't record the last 10km back to Manchester. But all the details around Cape Ann are there.

Thank you for doing such a great job laying out the route and event. I would do it (or something like it) again

Thanks to the two brave men who saved me and Kathy from the wild turkey. Lets hope the video doesn't go viral.

I had a great ride today. I have just an additional note I wanted to put out there b/c there have been more than the usual no shows lately. I usually am not concerned about this but when there are waitlisted riders, no showing is obviously not nice to them. Please be kind to your fellow riders in the future.

What a beautiful route Teige took us on. So many scenic sea views along the way.

hey, just a reminder to make sure to bring adequate cool weather riding gear... gloves will be mandatory if the temps are in the 50's. on a long ride it is better to have too much than too little.

I'd love to go but the first train out of North Station gets me there @ 9:19. If anyone is going from Lexington or surrounding area, I can get to where ever they as early as they'd like. I'd pay fuel and lunch.

Fred, I'll be passing near Lexington on my way up from Norwood. We could share a ride if you like.

Chris, I'm right off of Mass. Ave. (Brandon St.) and I can meet you in Lexington center or wherever you'd like.

To make this more commuter friendly I delayed the meet time to 915 and start time to 930

Sorry I can't make it. I'll be out of town.

Sounds like fun. FYI: depending on pace, I may have to start with the group and finish solo. I have a family party on Sunday afternoon so ending at 4 is cutting it just a tad close for me. I guess I'll have to see how it goes.

Ok, I am allotting ample time for breaks... but even so if the group is fit, then we will finish around 3 most likely
