After Breakfast on Saturday we will meet in the parking lot at the Cannon Mountain Tramway at 10am..we plan to be on the bikes for 10:30am...  From there we will ride the Franconia Notch Bike Trail.

The trail is approximately 8.8 miles in each directions so our total miles will be 17.6 miles.  I recommend you use either road bikes, or hybrids.... the path is paved and has rolling hills.  I also require that you wear a helmet.

The Franconia Notch Recreation Path contains hills, bike-walk areas and an elevation gain of approximately 800 feet from south to north.

If you would prefer not to bring your bike they do have Bike rentals at the Tram here is their website:

Once we complete the bike path (which should not take us more then two hours) we will break for lunch... and eat at the top of Cannon.. To get there we will Ride the Aerial Tramway to the Summit of Cannon Mountain.  The cost is $14 per person. Either bring your lunch with you or there is a cafeteria & bar at the top of the mountain.

An 80-passenger cable car brings visitors to the 4,080-foot summit of Cannon Mountain in under ten minutes. On a clear day, you can see the mountains of four states and Canada! At the summit, you'll find spectacular scenic walking paths, a 360 degree observation deck, a cafeteria, bar and restrooms.

- Soar through the air to remarkable heights
- New Hampshire's highest lift-accessed point
- An exciting ride for all ages
- Stunning views of New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, New York and Canada
- A must-see attraction!

After we complete our adventure we will head to the Woodstock Inn Station & Brewery in North Woodstock, NH..  I will make a reservation.

For those that are interested in participating in the ride but not staying overnight please indicate that you are only doing the ride in the questions you answer at time of sign up.

On Sunday we will meet at 10am and either ride to the top of the Kancamagus Trail (13 miles to the top,) a total of 26 miles (leaving directly from the Lodge).  Or for those interested in doing a moderate level hike we may offer that too.

I thought it was a great weekend. There were about 7 people on the trip I already knew but I felt by the end I had made many new friends. The weather was beautiful the riding was fun and challenging.. And everyone socialized together..

My wife and I had a great time this weekend. Everyone on the trip was very nice and excited to be there. There were fast and slow bikers but everyone was able to do what or how much they wanted. Cyndi did a fantastic job of keeping the group together and social, but allowing people to have have their freedom. It was the perfect mix for the weekend.

If the plan is to bike up the Kancamangus then perhaps I will need a bike with a toe hitch. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Sat. unless anyone is interestd in meeting later Friday evening for a drink / food. Plenty of places in Lincoln

Is the Kancamagus Trail different than the Kancamagus Highway? If so is there a map of it somewhere? I'm trying to figure out if we're biking to the top of the mountain pass on Sunday, which will determine which bike I'm bringing.

I will be driving from Cambridge (Kendall Sq.) and will be happy to share the ride with someone. I have Honda CR-V: no bike rack, but I just throw it in the back.

I am in the Somerville/Davis Square area and have arranged for a rental car. I have a bike rack that can hold two bikes. I am planning on heading out mid-afternoon to avoid the Friday night traffic. Let me know if you need a ride.

Anyone leaving from Boston area who can take passenger and bike? Will pitch in for gas/tolls/ snacks

Hi Victor, I have a bike rack that fits on to any car and holds 2 bikes. I'll send you an email to connect.

I'll be riding from Cambridgeport/Central Square. The car is Honda CR-V but I don't have a bike rack: I throw my bike inside, which works for one bike, but may be a problem with more than one bike (not sure). If anyone has a bike rack, it would definitely work.

I'll be looking for a ride too if anyone has room. I'm in the Davis Square area.

Anyone from Watertown/Cambridge that can take a passenger & bike? Of course I'll pitch in for gas / road snacks..
