Lexington, Concord, Weston 29 miler (weather permitting)

I plan on riding tomorrow afternoon, weather permitting. There is a 30% possibility of snow in the morning, but if that doesn't happen, the ride is on b/c it is supposed to clear in the afternoon and be partly cloudy

Route Summary:

Starting in Lexington we head out to Bedford, stop at Great Meadows in Concord, then head towards Walden pond and down to the Weston Green and by the Cambridge Res in Waltham

Riders should plan to meet at 1:15 pm and be ready to ride around 1:30 pm

We should return to the Depot  area around 4:00 pm if we can keep the 12 to 15 pace. Please be able to b/c the group needs to return on time to the parking area.

There is all day parking lot at the depot btw.


What's required

Bike helmets and road bikes / skinny tire hybrids in good repair
minimum 1 full water bottles

    Nice sunny ride. Nice riders. Pretty snow covered landscape throughout most of it....the sun made all the difference. My short cut-ed mileage tally was 22.44. :)

    The next time it's hard pack snow and ice, I'll probably be doing a ride. It will be shorter b/c it's a lot more resistance. Studded snows on a mountain or hybrid are the equipment requirements and of course a helmet.

      Sounds like fun... i don't have the studded tires though and i worry about vibration from rough riding b/c i had "handlebar" palsey / ulner tunnel syndrome a long time ago.

    Hi Teige, you are a brave one! Too bad we didn't get out there today........
    It is doubtful I will join if it isn't sunny out....but plenty of time to assess the situation before 1ish tomorrow, and for the weather to turn out nice.... :).
