Hi! Everyone, Just to ad on to Rob's note below.. I led the Hampton to Portsmouth ride on Saturday we had 7 No shows, and 3 people who changed their RSVP's to No after 7pm on Friday . As of Friday morning there were 16 people on the waiting list.
For those of you that didn't show up or changed your RSVP's at the last minute, it's quite unfair to those on the waiting list that would have been able to go on the ride. So we ask that when you sign up for an event please be more considerate of those who would have liked to attend the event.
As Rob indicated below we are tracking "no shows' and in the future it could affect your membership in this group. For those of you that show up as you should and/or change your RSVP's in a reasonable time ahead we say Thank you.

Just a gentle reminder that if you are not planning to attend a meetup event, to please change your
RSVP to indicate "not going" with ample time before the event so
that others who are on the waiting list have the opportunity to
attend a meetup.
we had two meetups and some individuals RSVP'd for both and ended up
NOT attending either event. With such long waiting lists, we want
to insure others have the opportunity to attend, especially since
both rides were really great and we were blessed with beautiful weather.
I know that on the Apple picking ride, we had 9 No Shows.
The meetup software enables Organizers to track who "no shows". In the future, we
will be removing members from the group, who have
a history of no showing two or more times.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
