New Meetup: Burke-Gilman Trail group ride

Announcing a new Meetup for The Seattle Bicycling Meetup Group!

What: Burke-Gilman Trail group ride

When: Sunday, May 9,[masked]:30 AM

Where:
Logboom Park in Kenmore
6100 NE 175th St
Kenmore, WA 98028
[masked]

Join us for a group ride on the Burke-Gilman Trail for beginner/intermediate riders. Of course everyone is welcome to join, but this will be a more casual and social ride.

We are starting at 8:30 so that we can have most of the ride finished before the families with kids start walking the trail (most weekends by about 10-11am the trail starts getting a bit crazy, and crashes never feel good for anyone). We will stop for the stop signs at each driveway in LFP to avoid getting ticketed, even though I think that a stop sign for every driveway crossing is a bit nuts.

We can start at the Kenmore end of the trail, ride to Gasworks and have a snack/coffee near the Fremont Bridge, then ride back to Kenmore. It will be about 25 miles.

This has the potential to be a lot of fun and would be a great opportunity to meet other people and to bring friends along who are new to biking.

Hope to see you there!
