Mid-Week Back Bay Ride

Let's go for a bike ride around the Back Bay on Wed evening!

This 10-mile ride circles the beautiful Upper Newport Back Bay. We will start out from the parking lot of the Muth Interpretive Center, and ride around the bay.  The route circles around the beautiful Back Bay on a paved bike trail, with a few blocks on the streets through a residential neighborhood.  There will be a couple of short, moderate climbs requiring your lower gears.

This ride generally takes about an hour.  Have a light jacket as there is often a breeze in the late afternoon.  And as always, bring water, your helmet, and a spare inner tube.

Post ride dinner to be decided by those who ride!  Check out the area (via google maps) and see what's nearby that strikes your fancy!   When it starts getting darker earlier we'll move the start time back in half hour increments.

Sorry folks, will have to decline. Drive on 405 to SNA usually too much traffic @530. I hate traffic.
    Happy Riding

Hello, just got off work, looking forward to ride and meet this back bay area. I have to see that email to ensure I do meet whoever at the right place to meet.
    Looking forward,

Turned into a real good workout. Mark and I rode up to Bill Barber to meet Marks Cycling group, and rode with them down to Bayside and PCH. They continued on their route to Corona el Mar, and we completed our loop of the bay, adding 8 miles (much of it into the wind) to our ride, and still having plenty of light to complete it! As they meet at 6:30 and get underway sometime after, we can do this on any given Wed when both groups have a ride posted.
