Bike Share Station - Faragut North (map)
10/10/10 is the Global Work Party day of climate action – a day when people all around the world will do practical projects in their communities to promote solutions to stop climate change and call on our leaders to do the same.
As one of the various events happening in DC on 10/10/10, the Climate Action Bike Tour will represent DC's push for cleaner transportation and energy.
From 11am to 5pm, the ride will tour 9 different DC locations that exemplify the ways that DC is getting to work fighting climate change!
Stops included will be the following (Time Schedule below):
Current Climate Action Bike Tour work partners include: 350.org, CCAN, WABA, goDCgo, Capital Bikeshare, Bread for the City, Wholeness for Humanity, and City Bikes.
All riders must sign a waiver.
**TRANSIT ALERT**: The WMATA reports that the McPherson Square and Farragut West metro stations (serving the White House) will be closed on Sunday. Rally attendees are advised to use Farragut North station on the Red Line to reach the event.
*Riders wishing to ride Capital Bikeshare bikes must bring a helmet, bring a lock, sign a waiver, and complete a registration form.

1. 11:30am -- Capital Bikeshare Station: 17th St NW & L St NW
2. 12:15pm – Georgetown Solar - Rooftop Solar Installation: 1541 33rd St NW, Washington, D.C. 20007
3. 1:00 - 2:30 pm -- White House: 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW to thank President Obama and present solar panel
4. 2:45 pm- 3:15pm: Tour of Botanical Garden: Capitol Building - 100 Maryland Ave., SW, Washington, DC 20001
5. 3:25pm -3:50 Center for Green Urbanism

7. Capital Bikeshare (Optional Stop to lock up Capital Bikeshare bikes) 7th St NW & T St NW

It was great! It says 1 person attended here, but there were actually over 50 at times, and at least 12-15 who biked the entire route of 10+ miles around DC.
