Hope you get your bike fixed soon!
Really wanted to make this ride. Looks like some family stuff is going to keep me home. :(
Got my bike all dressed up I'm in see ya at poodles for breakfast
It's going to be cold but I'm still going to be there. I hope some of you still make it.
The Olympia Toy Run2 hours agoWe’ve been contacted by several riders that currently have snow and/or icy roads in their neighborhoods & getting on their scoots is just too dangerous. They do however want to do their part and drop off their toy donations so that all of the children who need our help this year do not go without.
So tomorrow morning feel free to drive to Northwest H-D in Lacey, just off Exit 111 and enjoy their free breakfast (9-11am) & drop off your donations OR stop by the Northwest H-D vendor booth located in vendor row in the Sears parking lot at South Sound Mall and drop off your donations there.
Ride safe and Happy Holidays to all
Went for a ride this morning. Checking if this is doable roads are fine on eastside . Just have to be sensible and slow. Dress in layers my legs were the first to get cold so ya might put a extra layer on your legs. Drive safe peoples look twice there are fools on cages out there. Fred

Picked up my toys today .put garland on my bike still frosty out
Don't think I'm going to have any heated gear by then and it's cold walking through a parking lot, much less bombing down the road with the wind chill and all. Next year!

as cold as its going to be be extra careful on onramps and bridges.look out for steel plates there slick.
Yea roads are frosty & slick in the morning. Road into work and almost ate it on an on ramp. Gonna have to think hard about riding Saturday now...
I really wanted to go but its just to risky for me....be safe

Trying to figure out where everyone is meeting - lots of ambiguity in this meetup and the website. Can someone tell me what the plan is for folks living in the greater Seattle area? Thanks!
1 · December 2, 2013
Jim there are some folks who will be coming down from the North not sure where or what time, I live in the south end (Federal Way) I'll be at Fife @ 8:00 am as I have posted

Seems Like there are a couple of places? Eagles on HWY 512 or Poodles.. Poodles is closer for me....
I'll be at poodles about 8 I think see ya there.
Went for a ride today aside from being chilly its nice out .
I'm going to leave Chases on Bellevue way at 7am take 405 to I-5 to Poodles get warm eat breakfast leave with the mob at 9 or when they leave. I'll have Christmas lights on my bike can't miss me.
My wife drove from Bellevue to Lynwood said roads aren't bad she didn't see any bikes though. Chilly out
I dont have heated gear! Will i be okay if j later up?
Are you riding this weekend, Rimi? Let me know - I'm still on the fence for purely logistical reasons...
Tim - I will be there, just need to know what the time will be for KSU. Get to try out my new Gerbing heated liner and gloves. So excited! After 10+ years, my First Gear heated gloves finally shorted out. I think all the rain had something to do with it since I moved here!
Jim - I live in West Seattle. If you are coming from Seattle, we can hook up off of 5 and ride down to join Tim.
KSU around 9:15 no later than 9:30am
Hope to see 1000s of bikes there. I'll be wearing bright orange gloves directing traffic into parking areas. My vest says "Austin" so come say Hi! It's going to be extremely cold!!!!

I ride with a local Olympia riding group - Descendants of Area 51. Each year we help with parking for the Toy Run. It's like herding cats, but a lot of fun seeing thousands of bikes together. Hope you all can make it!
