A route that I have borrowed from the Santa Rosa Cycling Club. I have not done this ride before. Mostly flat except for the climb on Chalk Hill Rd. CA-128 and Alexander Valley Rd are beautiful stretches of road. This event is cross-posted with Bay Area Cycling meetup group.
First rest stop is at 30 miles, so bring enough fuel to get you there.
Start: Willowside Elementary School, 5285 Hall Rd, Santa Rosa, CA
Time: meet at 10:15 am, roll soon afterwards. If you arrive late, look for cue sheets on the Mazda3.46 mile route
Climb: 1800 feet total gain
Pace will be 13-15 mph on flats, slower on climbs.
Cue sheets will be provided. Road bikes are most appropriate for this ride. Helmets required. This is *not* a no-drop ride. You should be self-sufficient in case you become separated from the group.
