Ok, but look for the upcoming "Oakland Riviera Waterfront Ride." It's 25 semi-flat miles, mild hills and I think a great conditioning ride!

I'd love to join but want to make sure I will not hold anyone back. I am a beginner but have done SF golden gate park to the ferry bldg. so would this translate to a medium ride? If you can please give more info, will so appreciate it. thanks!

Hi Angelica, this is definitely an advanced intermediate ride with long hills and one pretty huge and long hill. You can use your judgment, but I believe this would be a bit challenging at this point given your experience. You might want to work up to it or you can bail out early, but bring a GPS phone so you know the options back.

Hi Cyclists~Are you ready to ride along the coast and "hammer" some hills? (Just kidding-the 10 minute wait at the top of hills rule applies to me!) Take a moment to update your RSVP to "no" if you can no longer attend. I'll send you my cell# by e-mail. After 9:30 I will not be checking for texts. See you Sunday!

I may ave a conflict with the date change, when do you think we will be back?

    February 4, 2014

    • Franny

Hey Steve, I have no idea and hate to make predictions. A lot depends on the group, how long they want to break, etc. I can say that you could probably bail out at Daly City BART if things are tight, or ride quickly home ahead of us. Hope you can make it.

I am fairly certain the timing is not possible. I will ride another time.

    Do I see a 6 mi climb?

    January 27, 2014

    • Franny

I don't want to think about it! Sharp Park Rd. is a M***F*** of a climb. You'll love it.

might be a silly q but....details about 2000 ft gain part? is this v. hilly?

    1 · January 25, 2014

    • Franny

Maria, in a nutshell, YES. For someone who doesn't understand 2000 feet gain, it would be considered very hilly, some long steep climbs. For those who know, it would be medium hilly.
