I like this route a lot. I managed to squeeze in an extra 4 miles and ended up with 33.6:

Oh thanks Sam - ya I live 95 and wagonwheel so just a little further. I think I can find it after your explanation but I better not rsvp yes because I can't do early this Friday! :) I'll try it the next time you all go!

Michele, an early start means you do not need to suffer riding in the heat of mid day. Each and every day summer is closer: when each year we discover the sun can warm the ground and air early if there is not a stitch of wind...

You are right JR and I will get my bootie in the saddle next time you do Red Rock!

The non stop ride (no stop signs/signals on this bicycle ride), made me realize I need to get out and spend a bit more time in the pedals.

Weather was perfect for a ride in Red Rock Canyon. If you were working, good for your pocketbook, if you were out doing errands, you missed a great opportunity to see & enjoy the brilliant colors of Red Rock Canyon from your bicycle.

Two non humans were using their native habitat and I only looked briefly from a respectable distance.

Friday is a good day for a ride in Red Rock, weekends the bicycle lane can become crowded. With the anticipated weather it is a certainty you will improve your group riding skills in Red Rock Canyon on this weekend.

I did not manage to average 12 miles per hour today, was under that milestone today (11.92 for 29.68 miles). JR

JR - how many miles is this ride? I'm not sure I can figure out where to meet you and how long a drive it is from my place...stepping outta my box! lol

Hi michelle it is around 30 miles round trip but not a very hard ride to do. If you take blue diamond road towards pahrump nv. you willbe looking for the Red Rock cutoff and thats where the gas station is. I'm not sure where you live so I can't tell you how long your drive will be. I live at Vale Verde and 215 area and will probably take 40 minutes or less to get there.

Ride North and then return riding south, at a moderate rate of speed for the entire route. This is a new start time (7:30 AM), and a new starting location for this Red Rock ride done often last summer.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
