I'm lucky if I only work 40 hours and I think that I'm still a good mother though new at it! This is [will be] a group for moms/dads with young kids trying to figure out how to juggle work and family while still finding time for themselves.  I'm based in NE Portland and will next to never head over to the west side unless it's downtown, the Children's Museum, and to the zoo.  Special events are my exception, so I'll primarily be posting activities W. of 82nd and N. of Powell.

I see this group as an opportunity for my family to meet new friends. Lets arrange weekend activities for the kids and on occasion have an adult night out! Lets swap stories and ideas on how to do it all.

I'm not going to limit the children's age range. We can have joint activities and as we come together do age range specific activities.

Activity ideas:

Jam - Kids Happy Hour

Soaking pool @ the Kennedy School

Oregon's Children's Theater

"Naked Lady" party - for kids and moms (sorry dad's - I can't see you getting into this!)

Dinner - at a restaurant *gasp*

Pot Lucks

Park visits - remember when tag and red rover was cool?  If we get big enough I think this would be great for the kids and free for us!!

Seasonal activities like the Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest, Sauvie Island's Pumpkin Patch, etc.

All ideas are of course welcome.
