Blue is the warmest color (Mac)

This film won the Golden Palm at the Cannes Festival, but isn't on general release, probably because it's thought not many people want to watch a 3-hour French film with subtitles. The only Birmingham cinema showing it is the Mac, but at awkward times. If the day I've suggested isn't good for you, check the link and leave a comment what day would be better.

Food played a large part in the film, too many meals to be coincidental, but I'm not sure why. Any ideas?

I really enjoyed the film. It wasn't what I expected at all. It reminded me of Eric Rohmer's "Comedies and Proverbs", but visually more powerful and with strong existentialist undertones. This is a film to watch more than once.

Uh oh..... the closer it gets to the deadline the more people are dropping out. 9 two days ago, 5 this morning, only 3 now. Films shown anywhere except for Cineworld are less popular. And I guess French films are a niche market. I hope to see Richard and Jay at least!

Great, Richard. I just arrived. Better too early than too late.

I'm really sorry guys but coming from Walsall I can't make the journey, if it was on in Birmingham itself that would have been fine but I don't know I would be going. But I really really want to see this film, so when it has been released properly we should watch it :)

Unless it wins a few Oscars this is the only release it will get. But there's always the DVD to look forward to.....

sorry Mike, will have to drop out of this one, it's on a bit too late and awkward to get to, would prefer to go and see this on a Sunday afternoon or wait until it's on release at Cineworld!!

Hi Mark, there is usually at least one a week. Sometimes two or three. Most of the screenings are at Cineworld on Broad Street, but occasionally there are special events like this one, at the MAC in Edgbaston and other venues.

Whooo, it's great so many people are going. The Mac is a bit awkward to get to, but it makes up for it by showing films other cinemas don't. Like this one! I'll see you all there!
