Miss Nightingale - The Musical

Miss Nightingale is a heart warming and hilarious musical drama celebrating the world of sex, scandal and showbiz in the cabaret clubs of WWII London. The show toured last year and took the UK by storm, receiving rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. It tells the story of feisty singer Maggie and her refugee songwriter, George, as they struggle to find their big break. She longs for the bright lights. He’s hiding a dark secret in the shadows. Everything changes when they are both picked up by wealthy man-about-town Sir Frank. He transforms Maggie into ‘Miss Nightingale’ - whose outrageous costumes, saucy songs and scandalous love life make her the talk of the town. But out of the spotlight the secret romance between the two men proves far more devastating than The Blitz... Miss Nightingale is a feel-good night out full of love, laughter and the lust for life. You can find more about the show, see photos, read reviews and watch the trailer at www.missnightingale.co.uk

I put the web link for buying tickets and the BO number in the meetup description so people can buy tickets. Just like with other meetups the onus is on the individual to buy their own ticket and make their own arrangements to get there etc. I'm simply facilitating a social element for people if they want it. When I put it up there were plenty of tickets available. If you haven't bought a ticket yet I'd suggest checking availability ASAP with the box office. It's something we were going along to anyway so I put it up to let people know about it more than anything. I mooted people paying me or another organiser for tickets then we buy a block booking a couple of years ago and no-one even replied to the thread asking for thoughts so that idea quickly got knocked on the head. It's not financially prudent for me to buy a block of tickets and then HOPE people on here buy them. I think you'd agree that would be unfair on me

Oh I see I do it for my gigs via Paypal but danger of that is people might do no shows and decide to not turn up at last minute and then expect a refund. If anyone going who hasn't already got a ticket yet wants to get a half price ticket please let me know. Could make use of the free ticket for a couple of people to have a bit of a discount. I will probably get down the mac before 6ish but will phone the mac before hand. I am a regular there so they do know me well enough to sort me out a space.

Does seem to work quite well for me for some of the gigs I have put on my group for people paying via paypal and setting a deadline. But I suppose would be danger of people not bothering to turn up as I said before.

Obviously unlike cinema meetups which invariably are unreserved seating this does create an issue with being seated together. That's unavoidable until I can think of a solution to it. If people are reluctant to not only buy tickets months in advance for theatre performances but trust another person (i.e. an organiser) with that money potentially months in advance when their circumstances might change or they feel the group might not be there next year or whatever the reason I've no desire to keep trying to persuade people. If I come up with a mutually amenable solution then you'll be the first to know.

Hi David are there tickets for this I will need a wheelchair space which is down on front row if in main theatre. If anyone wants a half price ticket let me know . where will everyone be seated. Surely if we all buy our own tickets we will be all sat seperately?
