Thank you to Gracenote and to all of you for making the event yesterday so awesome! Hope everyone enjoyed it. As always, we'll put out the formal announcement for the next meeting about a month before the date of the meeting. So, be on the lookout for the announcement around the middle of July. And if anyone wants to host a meetup, please get in touch with me or Bill and we can go over the logistics of it.

Great seeing everyone! As I mentioned during the shoutout session, the CCRMA MIR Workshop takes place next week, June 23-27. Whether you want to learn about MIR or just meet interesting people, please stop by. If you can't attend the entirety of the workshop due to "adult responsibilities" (e.g. a "job"), then just stop by on one of the days. Andreas Ehmann of Pandora, in attendance tonight, will speak on Thursday morning, so that's a good day to attend. However, there is a chance of free food on Friday, so you'll have to decide which is better. For more info, visit

Do we have to pay? The website says it costs $450 to register. Also, I don't see a schedule--what time is Andreas speaking?

It is a paid workshop. (Off the record, if you just showed up, we wouldn't kick you out. You just wouldn't get a CCRMA email address, building badge, etc.) Andreas is scheduled to speak roughly around 10:30 am on Thursday.

In response to the gentleman asking about audio/video alignment during the shoutout, Jay LeBoeuf sent me two suggestions: (1) (2)

Thanks for organizing this. Regret I have to
withdraw due to work commitments. I hope to
    join another one soon.

Hi Everyone. In this meetup, we are going to try something new. We are going to have an open mic session where we would like to not only invite everyone to introduce themselves and their teams, but also to share something that you feel would be of interest to the group. If you have an interesting challenge that you have been grappling with, bring it on! If you have heard of a hot new signal processing technique, please share! If you have a cool new company, let everyone know about it! If you have a question about industry trends in general, please stir up a discussion! Hopefully, this will make the meetup much more interesting and educational for everyone and better achieve the goals of the meetup. Hack on! Of course, please do let us know if you have any comments to make the meetup more interesting.
