Personal, political, provocative, The Sun is a monthly American magazine of essays, interviews, short stories, poems, and photography.

A dozen of us have been meeting monthly for almost 2 years now. Join us for a discussion of any entry from the June issue of THE SUN magazine. This month we will meet at Joy's place in the CBD --one block from the convention center. Please bring light refreshments, if you can.

We encourage participants to get their own subscription -- or borrow the right copy from a SUN subscriber you might know. FYI, by going to their site at thesunmagazine.org, you can download the latest issue for free as your trial subscription. Also, if you contact me, I can probably give you access to my digital subscription.

The magazine encourages the creation of local SUN GROUPS for purpose of getting readers together to discuss issues' content. This meetup group is the first such group for Louisiana. (Texas has ... close to a dozen.)

Is there a bookstore in the city that carries this. I have checked Maple St and Octavia and they don't. Maybe the Barnes and Noble on the Tulane campus? Or any Barnes and Noble? I will check there and will rsvp if I can get a copy. Perfer hard copy since I have no printer.
