Announcing a new Meetup for The Bizarre Book Club!

What: Free Documentary Film - "John Kennedy Toole: the omega point", 2009.

When: Friday, November 5,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Loyola University
Monroe Hall Nunemaker Auditorium
New Orleans, LA 70118

This award-winning, 2009 documentary of the life of John Kennedy Toole, writer of A Confederacy of Dunces, is by invitation from Annie Goldman of Loyola Law School. She has kindly reserved seating for us at the showing, which is free and begins at 7:00 PM, Friday, November 5, 2010.

The film will be presented in The Nunemaker Auditorium in Monroe Hall. There is no charge for parking on the street and in the two campus parking garages. (If you need directions, or if you wish to carpool, please call me at (225)[masked] anytime before 7 PM.

I will be standing outside of the auditorium until 6:40 PM, and should be easy to spot with a bizarre-looking brace/splint on my left arm. Feel free to tap my shoulder if I don't recognize you. (I am good at forgetting my glasses at home.)

We can also meet for a drink or a coffee after the film for a discussion, if anyone is interested in doing so.

Please consider joining me!
