National Novel Writing Month Write-in

As many of you know, November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). The premise is that if you write about 1700 words a day for 30 days, at the end of the month you will have written the equivalent of a 50,000 word novel. Impossible you say? I participated last year and finished the first draft of my novel. True, all 50,000 words were not final words, but it was a great way to finish a sucky first draft. This November, I plan to finish the final draft of the novel I started and get it ready to publish by January.

In honor of NaNoWriMo, I am scheduling one-hour writing only Meetups every Sunday in November. Even if you're not writing a novel, I encourage you to write 1700 words a day of ANYTHING.

Here's the link for the official NaNoWriMo website: http://nanowrimo.org/ It helps you to:

Track your progress
Get pep talks and support from other writers (many well-known)
Let you know about group writing events in your area
And, of course, write your novel (or whatever you're working on).

Happy writing!
