Become a Judge at the Fulton County Science and Engineering Fair

Reminder: If you are planning to judge at this event, please utilize the link below, (if you haven't already) and register with the STEM Director at Fulton County so they can incorporate you into their planning of the event. This event is not planned by ABEST.

However, I would like to have contact info of all ABEST members who are participating ( does not provide organizers with your contact details). So please email your phone and email address to me at [masked].

Maybe we can all sit together during the orientation and meet one another.

Dear Prospective Judge,
On behalf of Fulton County Schools, I invite you to participate as a judge in the 2014 Fulton County Regional Science and Engineering Fair.  The fair gives students, grades 6 – 12, within our public, private, charter and home schools the opportunity to explore and investigate the world of science, mathematics, and technology through hands-on research and experimentation in order to refine their understanding of the scientific process. By participating in scientific research, students develop science problem solving and research skills and an appreciation for science that will prepare them for their future.
The Fulton County Science and Engineering Fair will be held on February 8, 2014 at North Springs Charter High School at 7447 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, GA  30328.  Judges should expect to arrive at approximately 9:00 A.M. for a continental breakfast and orientation and finish at approximately 3:00 P.M.  An awards ceremony will be held at 4:00 and judges are invited to stay.  Lunch will be provided.
Serving as a science fair judge is a rewarding experience that will take a small amount of your valuable time but one that provides our students the chance to interact with an experienced professional from their own field of interest who provides them constructive feedback regarding their research. Holding the fair on a Saturday allows our students and their families a greater opportunity for participation without loss of their school instruction.  For judges, it allows your support of the fair with an option of employer flexibility for your participation.  Experiences such as this are essential in the students’ growth and development as future scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.  It supports them as they acquire their needed skills as future researchers and practitioners. We value your expertise and experience in this regard.  To participate as a judge, please complete and submit the online judge’s registration which can be found via the following link:

Please share this invitation with your professional colleagues who may wish to participate.  We welcome graduate student participation also.  Additional information about the Fulton County Regional Science and Engineering Fair can be found at:
If you have any questions, please contact Christy Jacks ([masked]) at [masked].

You are vital to the success of our fair.

My very first experience at the Science Fair, the young students were excited about their various projects and I was really impressed at the level of their desire and thirst for knowledge at such a young age. I am glad and privilege to be part of the event.
