Systems Engineer
(Experience level 6+ years)


We are a strategic and operations consulting firm based in DC. We are growing and expanding. We have an immediate need for a Systems Engineer and Developer. The position involves planning as well as development. We are looking for someone who not only has the technical skills, but is also interested in being part of our firm and growing with our Technology Practice. Perhaps taking a leadership role.

We are looking for individuals who have strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively in a team environment. Must be US citizen and pass Clearance.

The following is the job requirement:

1) Have deep technology and systems development experience to plan, design and implement agile technology. Current environment is DB2. Development in Java and Ruby on Rails. Must have at least 1 year+ of Ruby.

2) Must be able to model workflow, processes, and data. The candidate must work with other developers and independently to ultimately develop various working prototypes.

3) Ability to develop project roadmap and plan is essential. Understanding of Microsoft project is important.

4) Object Oriented Design

5) Ability to work with government and contractor RDBMS ( DB2) database to facilitate access to data via COTS software products, including MS Access and MS Excel). Help with the development of SQL queries, views and RDBMS stored procedures, as well as warehousing and/or data mart utilities to optimize data for use by COTS applications.

6) Maintain an issues database to document and track issues.

This is a full time opportunity. Offsite work available 1 day per week.
