Stargazing at Carl Schurz Park

A lovely spot to stargazing on the Upper East Side. It's all free, with expert stargazers in a casual environment.

Maps and information here:

The Sun will set at 6:56 p.m., EDT. The waning gibbous Moon will be two nights past full and will rise at 7:33 p.m. The Summer Triangle will still be high overhead in the evening sky. Possible deep-space objects will include globular clusters M13, M15, and M4; open star clusters such as the Pleiades and the Double Cluster; and the Alpha Persei Association. We may look at other targets as well—perhaps even the Ring Nebula.

Bring a date, and grab a slice on 2nd Avenue before coming out to this lovely little park.

Astronomer Bruce provided his telescope & lively discussion. It was cool! So many people were in line it would have been great to have more telescopes.

Its 815, not sure if I'm in right spot. A gentleman from AAA is here with his telescope, but he hasn't seen Mr. Kendall. Anyone know for sure?

Sorry, but I was not felling well. My compatriots from the AAA should have been there. I only was able to look at this now.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
