Come join the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York and the NYC Physics and Astronomy Meetup at our favorite watering hole by the High Line. The Brass Monkey is our favorite hangout after HighLine Stargazing so we are happy to back there to celebrate the Holidays together. It will be a cash bar with no cover charge. We'll have a several tables reserved for us on the second floor.
If you're fascinated by Physics and Astronomy, this is a great chance to come chat with other New Yorkers who share your love of Stars and Space (both between Clusters of Galaxies and between Quarks). Please note my personal observation/prediction that this will be a very friendly crowd and that people who arrive alone will get absorbed into group conversations quite quickly. That said, by all means, please bring as many friends as you can, they will have a great time too.

if you haven't been to the Brass Monkey before here are some suggested routes:
a) take the 14th Street bus west, get off at Washington Street, walk two blocks south, make a right onto Little West 12th and walk 1/2 a block west.
b) take a train to 14th Street and 8th Avenue, walk two blocks west on 14th Street, past Ninth Avenue to Washington Street, make a left and
walk two blocks south, make a right onto Little West 12th and walk 1/2 a block west.
