Voyager: the Interstellar Mission

A Public Lecture Presented at the Explorers' Club
New York City, New York
Monday, January 14: 7:00 PM

The Voyager Spacecraft were launched in 1977 bound for a Grand Tour of the outer Solar System. After successfully visiting all four Jovian planets, the spacecraft hurtled onward. Now, after 35 years of traveling in space, they are finally reaching the edge of the Sun's influence to travel into true interstellar space. Join NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador Jason Kendall as he discusses the only spacecraft that will soon sail the winds between the stars.

It was spectacular chiefly because Jason Kendall was doing the presentation! :)

Will anyone be recording the talk? Since I won't be able to make it I thought I'd rely on YouTube. Apologies if this has been answered before.

Do note, that the room is small, and if you arrive and try to buy a ticket there, you most likely won't be able to get in. So, please call up and reserve your tickets now. This is a popular topic, for the Explorers' Club members as well as the general public.

I have no idea.... I think what you'll need to do is call them up during normal hours tomorrow. I think they'll accomodate as many as they can. Most likely you'll need to speak to a real person to get a ticket, rather than an answering machine.
