How to get funding from a shark is an event started last year by a group of entrepreneurs who wanted to educate and support NYC business owners in technology, fashion, filmmaking and other various industries. The entrepreneurs brought together an intense array of industry professionals, including Daymond John from ABC's show Shark Tank.
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE EVENT?
The event was held at NYC Alley in Times Square and was sold out to a standing room only crowd. Based upon the tremendous success of the event and the support given by by people in attendence, the entrepreneurs decided that they needed to do this event again. Many don’t know that last year’s conference was completely self-funded. The response for the event was incredible and was standing room only. There were close to 300 people at last years event many people at the door who wanted to get in, but there were no more seats.
This year we are committed to improving on last year, and in order to do that we need to be able to have a bigger space, which can accommodate more people. We know the normal tickets will sell out quickly and early, but want to give everyone the chance to hear about the event before they do.
Currently there are only 250 seats available, and they are selling out quickly, but we want everyone to have the opportunity to attend. Plus it's hard to pass up cocktails and food.
