Wine Making from Scratch / Happy Hour (Part 2)

Have you ever wanted to make wine from scratch? I've ordered some Chilean grapes to make a Bordeau blend with The Grape Escape in Dayton NJ. We'll squeeze the mostly fermented grapes using the facility's wine-press and enjoy crackers, cheese and wine.

I know this is kind of far from the city, and early in the day, but if you can make it out to join us, I think you'll have a blast! There is no cost to join in the fun, but please bring a bottle of wine, crackers or cheese to share.

I'm sorry that I can't change the time or date of this event. The grape pressing will actually start at 7pm, and will probably run until 8 or 8:30? The grapes will have been fermenting from 7-10 days, and we need to do this before the brew goes bad. The facility didn't have any other available times to do the pressing and barreling. If you can't come to this, but want to be involved... the next step will be the wine "racking" will be on 6/20 at 6pm, when we re-barrel it. The wine we make will need to age, and will be done in approx 2 years. :) Cheers, Glenn
