Do you enjoy winter? Skiing? Snowshoeing? Cross country skiing? Skating? Or just hanging out? Sing up for this winter meetup now.

STATUS: I've already sent an e-mail with detailed instructions and only people who have reconfirmed and paid the deposit are on the RSVP list. If you are not on the list and you'd still want to come, contact me via e-mail to discuss your limited options.

Blaze>> has already organized several very successful skiing meetups; check out the last Winter Weekend in Stratton, VT. We will ski, snowboard, xc-ski, snowshoe, skate, cook, and play Mafia - simply have a fun weekend in Vermont this winter as well.

The plan is to leave to Stratton in two groups: on Thursday 1/31/13 and on Friday 2/1/13. All of us will return on Sunday 2/3/13. We plan to carpool or, if necessary, rent cars. Cost of the accommodation will be around $300 or $400 depending on the length of your stay (2 or 3 nights). Lift tickets, gear rentals, food, drinks, and transportation are extra; however, we will get a group discount if at least 25 people sign up. The final balance will be reconciled at the end of the trip.

Changes from the last year: This year we will have more choice regarding accommodation. Those who want to have their own bedroom (occupied by only one person) will have the option (the cost will be as if two people shared the bedroom). And those who want to save money can choose to sleep on a sleeper sofa in the living room (no privacy, less comfort, but you will pay only half the price). Everyone else will be in a lottery to share their king/queen bed or have their own twin bed, two people per room as the last year (expect no sleeper sofas will be assigned in the lottery this year).

I have reserved three great condos for us. The condos have a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, dining room area with a family size table, and a living room with a washer/dryer, TV, phone, and a cozy gas fireplace. Amenities include an outdoors heated pool, hot tub, and a sauna. The slopes are a 10-minute walk. See Stratton, VT for details.

If you have any question, post them in the comments or e-mail me.

Hey guys, those of you who haven't paid a deposit for the ski trip yet, please do so before the end of December. (If necessary, send me an e-mail.) Only those who pay will be guaranteed a spot. I want to make sure that all beds are taken so that the cost of accommodation is significantly lower than the deposit.

Hi Milos. I tried looking for your prior email on how to make the deposit, but can't find the email. Can you please resend me deposit instructions. And thank you for keeping my sweater; I hope it hasn't been too much of an inconvenience.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
