Sencha Touch Boot Camp

If you've been considering learning more about mobile app development, or are interested in trying out Sencha Touch or Sencha Architect, you won't want to miss this awesome opportunity! In cooperation with our sponsor CM First, a Sencha Select Partner here in Austin, we are pleased to offer a free, hands-on training session where you'll learn all about building mobile apps using Sencha technologies.

This boot camp will be presented by Sencha Developer Relations Manager Luke Kilpatrick, who will be visiting from Sencha headquarters in California to lead the session. Luke will walk through step by step how to build a demo IT asset tracking mobile app using Sencha Architect, Sencha Touch and local storage.  To get a feel for what you'll be learning, check out this 15 minute video.

This is intended to be a hands-on session, so please come prepared with the following:

• A laptop to work on, with a local web server installed

• Chrome or Safari

• Sencha Architect 3 (you can download a free 30 day trial of Sencha Touch Bundle that includes Architect, Sencha Touch and some other useful goodies)

As a special incentive, Sencha will be giving away a free Sencha Touch Bundle license to one lucky attendee! Also, CM First will give away a Google Chromecast.

This training session is totally free, but space is limited, so sign up today. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to learn about Sencha Touch, and to get your questions answered directly by a Sencha expert.

Luke did a great job introducing us to Sencha and helping us build a working web app. It was a great Meetup. Super informative and helpful! Thank you for putting this together Bleeding Edge!

It was pretty fast, but I am a newbie and it made me push forward. I was exposed to a lot of good info in a short amount of time.

    Hello Everyone!

To speed up tonight if you could have Sencha Architect 3 installed (the trial is fine) -

and have Sencha Cmd installed as well.

If you have a webserver running locally already great, we can use that. Otherwise there is a great little webserver included in Sencha Cmd that we can use.

If you are on a PC, you may also need to install Java and Ruby. The latest version of both work fine.

Looking forward to seeing you all tonight!
