February Meetp

  • February 7, 2012 · 7:30 PM

Hey Folks,

I must apologize for the late notice on planning this month's meetup -- I have been out of town all this week and got too busy last week to get things planned. I realize that next Tuesday is already close upon us, but the following Tuesday is Valentine's Day and I assume that many of us already have plans then ;)

I think it would be great to have more of a social / hackathon type of meetup for a change -- and NOT just because I won't have time to prepare a formal presentation in the next few days... :)

Here are a few ideas:

  • Show up just to have a beer and talk shop
  • Share something cool you're working on
  • Get help with some Ext or Touch project you're working on
  • Start hacking on something new using Ext, Touch or whatever tickles your fancy

This is actually something I've been wanting to try anyway, and if it seems to work and/or enough people show interest we could make it a regular meetup option, or maybe even a separate regular event.

By the way, if you missed it, the official beta for Sencha Touch 2 just hit the streets on Wednesday, and it's looking super awesome already. Bonus points if you show up on Tuesday with something to show off using the beta!

Although it was impromptu I felt like we had a great meeting. It was great to meet new Sencha fans and the Q & A was fun.

What an outstanding group of open professionals who not only welcomed us as new to Ext, but brought a great deal of insight, suggestions and guidance for us.

The beer was excellent! and the conversation was good. I've got a lot to learn from you guys.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
