We're considering a quarterly meetup (in addition to our regularly scheduled meets) focused on jobs that use bleeding edge web technology. It would follow the same format, with a 10-20 minute review of what's hot in tech employment, followed by a deeper discussion of a specific employment related subject. Subjects may include career development techniques, issues, compensation, how to bring bleeding edge tech into your job, finding new jobs, hiring/recruiting, etc. These events may be held at places within Austin other than capital factory. We have several sponsors who've invited us to use their space and feed us while we talk shop. The intention is not to focus ONLY on job seekers, though there will be plenty of opportunities to talk with recruiters if you choose. It is a means to discuss the reality of working with/in a great tech environment. Pick the answer that BEST FITS YOUR SITUATION (not necessarily the only answer that fits).
