Re: [blacktechies] IOS tips & tricks?

I've currently working on my second iOS application for the company that I work for.  I'm currently developing my app in Objectice C. This is probably an amateur hour comment but...  I found that in a lot of places that I expected to get back a nil reference for an object I was getting a reference to a NSNull object.  Thus I started to do a lot of checks to see if the object 'was a' NSNull object.  Therefore I created a static method to check to see if an object is null...

+(bool) isNull:(NSObject*) testObj{

    if(testObj == nil || [testObj isKindOfClass:[NSNull class]] ){

        return YES;

    }else{

        return NO;

    }

}

 You may or may not run into the same issue so...  Like I said amateur hour...

Hey Techies,

While I'm over here in Europe, I'm building my first iOS app. It's just a simple app to keep track of travel expenses between multiple people.

Anyone have tips or tricks learned through building apps? Like where corners can be cut and not?

Thank you,
Kyle
