Vancouver Bloggers Meetup July 2008
This is the actual real deal. After months of not having a meetup, this is the one for July. Please RSVP as I would need to tell Shane (the Blackwater Cafe owner) of how many people actually will show up. I would also appreciate suggestions for format.
While the previous Blogger Meetups have not had any specific format, maybe this one could be sort of a "let's share our perspective on".
I have a lot of experience moderating roundtables, so if you feel comfortable with that idea, maybe I could moderate the roundtable discussion on a certain topic. Suggestions accepted. The alternative would be, of course, to just hang out together :)
Please bring $1.50 (one dollar and fifty) to cover Meetup.com charges. Thanks!

I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone. And Bonnie - THIS is a transit-friendly location. Want directions from Kits? Take the # 4 Powell from anywhere on 4th Avenue and you'll be dropped off a block away. So, really, it IS accessible.

David DruckerWow! We overwhelmed the little Black Water Cafe, taking every seat in the house. I suspect that we are going to need some bigger venues in the future. Still, despite the overflow and high noise level, I had a nice time. Many people to talk with, friends to catch up with, people I'd met briefly to visit with again. I hope that we'll be able to have these on a regular basis in the fall and winter, as it's clearly a popular and growing group in the Vancouver social scene.

I'm the new kid on the block, but have an opinion about the location. :):)
I live in Kits and get around on public transit and use the car co-op, so I'd prefer a transit-friendly location.
