Going off the Rails with Padrino and Sequel by Paul Barry

This location is shown only to members

Padrino was created to make it fun and easy to code more advanced web applications while still adhering to the spirit that makes Sinatra great!

Sequel is a simple, flexible, and powerful SQL database access toolkit for Ruby that also provides a comprehensive ORM layer for mapping records to Ruby objects and handling associated records. Paul will show how both these libraries are built up from a solid core and how they can be used together as a powerful framework for building web applications.

Paul blogs about life at http://paulbarry.com/..., tweets about the rest at @pjb3 and makes a living at LivingSocial.com.

Nick Gauthier will be presenting the second in his series of lightning talks collectively titled "KnowSQL," a wakeup call for all those drinking the NoSQL kool-aid.

Bryan Liles will also be giving a lightning talk on "10 things you most likely aren't doing with Redis."
