David is working on another large touch project right now that is in beta testing and should be announced soon, so im sure he will update jQtouch once things calm down. I don't know of any plans to abandon the project.

Actually I think they're different, but I meant jQTouch.  Not sure about ongoing development.  The twitter account appears active though.

Hey, is "jquery touch" different from "jQTouch"? And while I'm asking about jQTouch, does anyone know whether David Kaneda is continuing to update the project? Rev 109 is still the version available for download at jqtouch.com even though rev 133 is better and has been available for months.

Cheers,
Michael

I was talking with Chris in #bmoreonrails earlier today (why aren't you all in there?) and we were leaning toward having Snuggs come visit us (always nice to have a new presenter).  I've got Nick Gauthier penciled in for July with haml/sass/compass/jquery touch though if even after RailsConf everyone would prefer a Cassandra talk we could do that.

Also, keep in mind that Koz is giving a talk on Cassandra at RailsConf which many of you will be able to see the week before.

I'll wait another day for comments before making a decision.  Thanks everyone for your input!

+1 ActiveRelation
+1 Cassandra

Perhaps two is too much for the 15th, but maybe one can wait for the
next month.  Mike may prefer an extra month to " put together a pretty
lights and pictures type of a talk."  Just a thought.
