May 8th DCRUG - UPDATE - Dave Thomas, David James, Chris Selmer presenting

From: Chris S.
Sent on: Monday, May 5, 2008 11:48 AM
We have some changes to the format and content of the May 8th DCRUG.  Instead of one longer presentation, there will be one medium-length talk followed by two shorter presentations.
  • I (Chris Selmer) will be presenting a modified version of Josh Owens and my Railsconf 2008 talk - Building an App in 48 Hours, A Rails Rumble Case Study.
  • David James will talk about visualization of ruby code using Ripper, a Ruby 1.9 parser
  • Dave Thomas of Pragmatic Programmers fame (not to mention many other things) will then take the floor to talk briefly about some of the features in Ruby 1.9, and will have a Q&A session afterwards.

Date & Time
May 8
th, 2008, 7:00pm - 8:30 pm
