2013 Baltimore GiveCamp hackathon

From: Scott S.
Sent on: Sunday, September 29, 2013 11:40 PM
Hey guys,

At the last main meetup, I mentioned the Baltimore GiveCamp hackathon the weekend of October 18. It's a full-weekend event that will attempt to address specific technical needs of area non-profits.

Brian Taylor (another B'more on Rails member) is the tech lead for the team I'll be working on.  We're going to revamp the public-facing site for Neighbor Ride (, an organization in Columbia that organizes affordable rides for seniors. We could use any help but—in particular—could really benefit from some design help. (It's a full weekend event, but I think even several solid hours from a designer early on would really speed things up.)

The registration deadline is October 4.

If you want to work on Neighbor Ride specifically, mention it in the comments when you register. Otherwise, the organizers will try to put you in contact with teams based on your reported technical/development skills.
