Might be worth adding that the rails bridge guys are looking for more than just bug fixes this time around... In addition to the bug fix work they are also looking for blog posts, screen casts, etc. Check out the announcement:?http://railsbridge.org/news_items/10

Last email, I swear. ?We were planning to host a Baltimore contingent Sunday, Jan. 17 from 10AM - 6PM (could go later, who knows). ?No requirement that you're there all day. ?I imagined folks would drop in and out throughout the day.

We'll order pizza and snacks for folks around lunchtime and then we could potentially head into Hampden for dinner/beers if anyone is interested.

Chris will be making an announcement at tonight's meetup.

I've gotten a few folks telling me it's not going to work with their schedule. ?Thanks for responding.

It occurred to me that perhaps people weren't aware that this is a worldwide effort, not something I'm organizing out of the blue:?http://wiki.railsbridge.org/projects/1/wiki/BugMash

Core team members are available all weekend to push through your patches. ?It is not at all like contributing to open source software out of the blue where your patches can sit stale more months at a time. ?Your efforts will be immediately recognized.

I now see that Ed is in. ?I hope more of you are able to join.

I won't be in town, sounds like a great idea though.

Hey guys,

SmartLogic is looking to host a Baltimore BugMash group this coming week. ?I'm under the impression that the BugMash is going to focus on Rails 3, so it will be a fantastic opportunity for us to collectively get a look at what's coming and really get a feel for how ready it really is.

We'd be looking to gather at the SmartLogic offices (at ETC Waverly). ?We've got plenty of room and loads of additional monitors/computers/accessories that will make it very easy to pair up. ?I have a commitment Saturday evening, and I still haven't decided if we'll do Sunday only or both days. ?In any case, I wanted to get the notice out there and get a feel for who would be interested.

I'll solidify the details by Monday or Tuesday after I've gotten some feedback.
