Do you need to be close to the conference center? I can point you to several venues. Bertha's in Fells Point has a nice upstairs "dance studio" and there's also the ETC in Canton that has a large board room that would suite your needs. I also have a 1000 gallery space in Highlandtown that you could use that you could setup ahead of time. There's numerous possibilities including Little Italy and Inner Harbor East.

I've rented entire computer labs before. You might check with System Source Give them a call and if you can't get anywhere I can give you the owner's contact info off line. It's possible that they may have a bunch of machines in their warehouse.

I'm working on putting together a training class in Baltimore this
June just before RailsConf -- Sunday, June 6th.  I could really use
some of your local expertise.

#1) Any recommendations on possible venues?  We're planning to have 30
attendees (at grouped tables) and four instructors.  Needs are just
space, power, and internet.  We have our own A/V stuff.

#2) We want to setup machines that attendees are going to use in
pairs, ideally 27-inch iMacs.  We'd need to put our hands on about 18
machines.  I've some calls out to Apple Enterprise sales and a few
national rental companies, but do you know of anything local?  Buying
the machines would, uhhh, suck.  We're hoping to rent or borrow and
could give promotional/sponsorship consideration.
