The Baltimore/DC JavaScript Users Group September Meetup

This meetup marks a change of venue and day for us, since most of us ended up coming from around the Baltimore area instead of DC we have decided to move our meetup to the ETC which is located near downtown Baltimore. For this first one, we will meet in office #308, which belongs to the Beehive Baltimore and after that we will be using the conference room at the ETC. At our last meetup we had an awesome presentation from Lokesh Dhakar in which we were able to discuss some of the pitfalls of web forms and how we can decrease their suck factor! Our discussion lasted for the whole meetup, and we were not able to cover any meetup members individual interests. So this meetup will be free form with no presentation, this will allow each of us to bring up a topic to discuss. Some things I know we will be discussing are the client geolocation API built into the HTML5 spec and the new Scripty2 animation functionality released by Thomas Fuchs. For any of you that would like to polish up your JavaScript techniques with a training day, we have been offered a special discount for the upcoming class given by Thomas Fuchs and Amy Hoy in DC which brings the price down to $350 - for more details, visit the classes site -

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
