Hey all - First things first, we need an idea/speaker for our August 4th meetup, please email me or post something on the Ideas section of our meetup page.

Our meetup on 7/7 included our first go at a JavaScript code competition we called the JavaScript Olympics. The results were spectacular - we all came together, challenging and helping each other. I think we had some fun as well. This event really achieved what I have been looking for in our group, which is a way to get together, have some fun, and learn from each other. It will no doubt become part of our regular schedule.

A big thanks goes out to Zeke's Coffee for providing our prizes. Coffee, chocolate covered espresso beans, and the o-so-popular meat rub.

Winners were:

'Blind Code' challenge
1st @JAAulde
2nd @lokeshdhakar
3rd @jonathanjulian

'Smaller is Better' challenge
1st @briansloane
2nd @jonathanjulian
3rd @scottmessinger

For those of you that could not attend, we took pictures and video. Live vicariously through them.

We're tentatively planning on holding the next JavaScript Olympics on September 1st, hope to see you there.
