Open Mic Night with Baltimore Parenting Beyond Belief

Come and show your talents at Open Mic Night! All kinds of kid-friendly acts are welcome including music, poetry, readings, skits, or comedy. This event is FREE and open to the community. Kids are welcome and encouraged to perform. Sibling and/or parent/child acts are a lot of fun. Performers begin signing in at 7:00 p.m., and acts will begin at 7:30 p.m. Even if you don’t want to perform, come meet some new and old friends and relax with some great entertainment. Delightful! Gordon performed a pantomime of a doctor performing an operation. Kathleen read two poems by A.A. Milne from "When We Were Very Young." I read three poems by John Ciardi from "The Man Who Sang The Sillies."

Scott did a fine job as MC. Singing, poetry, and recitation of Shakespeare. The evening's hit was a book "You Read To Me, I'll Read To You." This is a book of rhymes and tales written as a two-person dialogue.

This was the first joint meetup between BES and The Community of Ethical People. It went well, and I hope we do more!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
