Hey there!

For those of you who haven't heard, Jay & I are organizing couple of movie premiere parties in the next couple of weeks, a lot like the throwdown we did for Watchmen back in March. Basically, we take over a huge chunk of Chatters Grill at Stonybrook Cinemas for a couple of hours, get a little nuts with the costumes, games and cocktails, then all go see a nice blockbuster flick on opening weekend. Everybody walks away with prizes and goodies (from our honest-to-god sponsors) and everybody gets a reserved seat for the flick. Plus, the grill staff loves to have us and bends over backwards to accommodate, including mixing up some theme cocktails.

So which movies?

May 1 (Oaks Day)
We're heading to see Wolverine. The party starts at 8, and we'll hit the 10-ish movie showing (whenever the theater locks down the schedule, we'll update the data). Games include a lame-name showdown between obscure X-men and 80s hair-metal bands. Seriously. Info at the link below. Space is limited so RSVP ASAP.

May 8 (Saturday after Derby)
We're doing the new J.J. Abrams Star Trek. Party starts at 7, and we'll do the 9-ish showing, possibly in IMAX if we can get enough signups to underwrite the extra cost. Games include a William Shatner impression contest (a Shat-Off) and Bobbing for Tribbles. Info at the link below:

Hope to see everybody there,
