Clear Lake Int'l Tabletop Day at Gerard's

I am new to this meetup group, but I am not new to being a board game geek. I love games, especially card games and cooperative games. I am also trying to improve the clientele of our FLGS, Gerard's One Stop Game Shop[1] by encouraging them to offer more non-MTG game nights. As a huge fan of the web show "TableTop"[2] on YouTube, I've asked Gerard's to host an "International Tabletop Day"[3] event on March 30th from noon to 2 am. There will be several people there running various games, including Puerto Rico, Tome, Settlers of Catan and many more. I've been asked to run at least one Munchkin game, and I'll be bringing my collection of games up and I'm happy to demo any of them. If I can get a sitter for the after-hours, there will be some Cards Against Humanity played, but that is NOT a game for anyone under 18. Maybe not even then!

Here's a list of the games I'll be bringing:
Small World
Say Anything
Dixit
Forbidden Island
Castle Panic
Munchkin
Gloom
Guillotine
Chez Geek
Flux
In a Pickle
Apples to Apples
Settlers of Catan (with Seafarers and 5-6 player expansions)
Zombie Dice

I can also bring: Risk, Axis and Allies, Scrabble, Upwords, and many other more traditional games.

You are welcome to come - bring your friends, your favorite games, or just yourself.

It would be awesome if you would also RSVP on the facebook event so I can have some numbers to point to and say, "SEE! There are people who like to play board games who will come to events if you advertise them!"

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
