West U Tuesday Boardgames Meetup

We play a variety of boardgames, card games, and dice games every week. Come join the fun!

New people are always welcome. :)

The massive majority of players never RSVP on this site. You may only see a couple of RSVPs here but we tend to get at least a dozen people (normally more) showing up every week.

We normally play from around 5pm to 10pm, with people showing up and leaving through-out the evening, so come anytime!

*please do not bring food from home or other locations into Cafe Express*

I had a great time. I got to play Suburbia. A very strategic board game that requires a lot of foresight and very little luck. It was okay, but I usually prefer games with a little bit more action and little more luck. I played Forbidden Desert for the sixth time and actually won (unlike the previous 5 attempts)! I then played 2 games of King of Tokyo. I don't believe I have ever had so much fun getting my butt handed to me (twice) by an 11 year old girl who had never played the game before!!!

Jace, Thank you guys so much for a great Tuesday, I had a blast playing the game and it was fun to see Nicole innocently tra la la her way in to beating everyone the first time and watch as a monster was born the second game with a strategic 2nd win, with a little guidance...

I have never been to a meet up, so i didn't know what to expect, or how to engage in the games. I took my two kids with me, 12 and 11 year olds. Luckily we are all very out going so we started to walk around games that were already in progress and ask questions about the games. My daughter sat down to look at a very visual game and asked if she could play it. Someone noticed that there were two of us, and they had three that had just finished a game and they suggested another game that might be more suitable to a first time player. Well I am so glad they did, because it was such a fun awesome game we had a blast playing, we played two games and we are HOOKED! We will be Back again to this meet up Soon!!!! Thanks William and Micah and the others, for showing us King of Tokyo!! Amber Boso

Hello; Just happened upon this group and noticed it's practically down the street from my house and job in the medical center. I'm actually in a KingWood gaming group, but it's hard for me to get up there as much as I would like. Looking forward to meeting everyone. I have a bunch of board/card games. I'll bring a few of my favorites.

I am not sure what games you will be playing, but I am interested in playing most games. I have games I can bring too. Atmosfear/Nightmare may not have the same effect, since it should be played in the dark.

Illuminati is one of my all time favorites, Steve Jackson games in general, I really like them.
